Program Development Engineer
Responsible for hardware development and quality assurance interface on laser high end mono printer devices. Main responsibilities are hardware development of hardware critical for paper transport and leading a cross functional development team to support the product qualification process. The goal of the cross functional development team was help collaboration across the development community with respect to engineering teams and geographies (North America, Philippines, and China). Various tools were implemented into the process that included data analytics software (Microsoft PowerBi, Web cameras to capture all test time and access, collaboration software (Innovate) and time effective meetings. Anther aspect of hardware development has been the implementation of multi physics software to predict paper behavior, which is a difficult task. The goal of the paper path simulation is to model paper media as it is transported in a laser printer with the intentions to increase engineering knowledge and decrease waste in psychical parts, test time and test material. The paper path simulation has required to work with multiple disciplines (i.e. kinematics physics, materials, thermal, and electrostatic), and multiple development groups (i.e. paper path, fuser, cartridge, and paper experts).Knowledge is being created at the component level, module level and system level. To date, 50% of the paper path has been modeled. Once the complete system has been modeled then fully loaded paper conditions can be studied. The system can also be used for next generation platforms and product engineering.This project has demonstrated long term vision with short term strategy within the engineering community. The benefit from the project has potential to challenge conventional wisdom and create a new way to do business in a leaner business environment

My main responsibility was developing a sustained relationship with the University of Kentucky Engineering college. Another aspect was leading the research team in the area of IoT with an emphasis on passive RFID technology. The goal was to successfully lead a team of research students and engineering professionals to advance IoT technology where it could be implemented into Lexmark hardware to further expand the Lexmark solution offering. Breakdown of responsibilities are:Vision - Develop technology road-maps and connect it to Lexmark's shared interest. These road-maps range from 3-5 yeas.Strategy - Develop short term strategies that move the team forward and inline with the overall vision.Create and develop teams - Conduct interviews with potential candidates each semester, develop existing team members, and build over lap between constantly changing students. Funding - Create business cases that require research in order to achieve long term success.

Main responsibility is leading a cross functional team on a common business issue, which is copy skew. The team consists of system architects, senior technical staff members, and team leads from each program in development (i.e. high end, mid range, low end, color, mono, engine, scanner, input options and PE).The vision of the team is work within the business design process and guide programs from initial development to SOP with respect to copy skew. These areas include matching anti-skew architecture to marketing requirements and cost, anti-skew hardware development, manufacturing adjustments, manufacturing repair process, field service and field issues. The strategy used to bring the group into the PPDL is through Four phases: 1) BUILD TEAM - build a team of subject matter experts across all parts of development. (2103 goal - complete)2) SHARE - present, share and build relationships between the different groups. (2014 goal - completed)3) CREATE - create best practices by capturing how the groups already operate. Also, Identify common methods, processes and terminology. (2015 goal - in progress)4) IMPLEMENT - implement best practices via the PPDL. (2016 goal)This project has demonstrated long term thinking with short term stratagies that are complimented using a cross functional team within development.
