I believe that dentistry is one of the many ways that can effectively change lives. There is a lot more to dentistry than just teeth. How do we breathe? What do we eat? Are we sleeping well? My aim is to get every patient that I see to reach optimal and stable overall health. To achieve this needs a multi-disciplinary approach, where like-minded health professionals work together for the best outcome for each patient. Chiropractors, ENT surgeons, physiotherapists, breathing trainers, and others, are some that I work with. What is important is the wellbeing of patients.Dentistry is also about behavioural and personal developments. Treating patients and staff with respect and honesty, which can be carried through in our own everyday living. Each profession makes a difference, dentistry is one that I am using to do so. The service is very personalised, emphasising the theory and practice of behavioural dentistry. Patients are individuals. The physical aspects of the practice were all self-planned and self-designed, utilising the limited amount of available space efficiently and cleverly, while achieving warm and welcoming presentation. Being unique is of utmost importance.Our first month attracted 38 new patients, mainly through our great exposure within the Balwyn East Shopping Village and word of mouth. We did no active advertising, having only flyers by our front door. Being in an extremely established suburb, congested with other dental practices, we have simply found a niche with our location and practice model.As of 2015, we continue to grow rapidly, with 2 dentists serving almost 900 active patients,. Our biggest referral source is word-of-mouth, where we have become quite well-known amongst the local community.

In the first five years, it was the only dental practice in the suburb of Point Cook in Melbourne, VIC. Now, 4 dentists and an oral health therapist service a patient base that continues to grow along with the area.We are still averaging at least 100 new patients per month, despite 10 other dental practices opening in the suburb since 2009. The overwhelming majority of referrals comes from word of mouth. We have now relocated into our new state-of-the-art purpose-built facility, with a strong street presence. Consequently, we now have better exposure and a steep increase in new patient referrals.Having a relatively larger team, the operations and management of it are based on The E-Myth. Systems and protocols have all been in place from day one. Consistency is the key, so that patients always know what to expect.
