Trade association leadership for the majority of Northern California's water districts providing supplies to family farms and water needs throughout the state. Helped lead the successful strategy to protect Sacramento Valley water rights, infrastructure and landowner investment in the historic legislative package signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in November, 2009 to restore the San Francisco Bay/San Joaquin/Sacramento Delta and improve statewide water supply reliability;

Provided leadership and strategic guidance for a 20-member board on all aspects of the organization’s mission to enhance the public’s understanding of the benefits of the California forestry industry and California grown wood. Our integrated strategic approach to defining societal importance in the areas of forest sustainability, forest health, fire, wood and carbon and green building were widely acclaimed and produced significant positive movement in the public’s acceptance of sustainable forestry and preference for California wood. Served as Chairman of the Buy California Marketing Agreement to promote California agricultural products locally and abroad.
