Hello, I’m Donovan Quiocho, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Gonzaga University (B.S., 2017), originally from Tacoma, Washington. Growing up in an engineering-focused family, I developed a passion for renewable energy, influenced by the significance of hydroelectric power in Washington State. This interest inspired me to shift my focus to Electrical Engineering, where I specialize in power distribution, renewable energy, micro-grids, all-electric design, and grid electrification.Throughout my career of working in the Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy sector in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have contributed to a diverse range of projects, varying degrees of experience in both commercial and utility-scale initiatives across the U.S. My work involves innovative technologies such as all-electric fleet and semi-infrastructure, battery storage systems, photovoltaics, and micro-grids. I have tackled projects that range from retrofitting historic buildings to designing efficient electrical systems that achieve net-zero and living building certifications.Currently, I am an Electrical Engineer at Meyers+ Engineers, where I engage in all aspects of electrical design and collaborate on projects with engineering industry leaders and various industry leaders as clients. This dynamic environment enables me to continuously learn and contribute to innovative solutions for various project challenges. My background includes roles in Project Management, with experience leading all phases of project design engineering—from initial feasibility studies to detailed design documentation, permitting, and project closeout.
