Caloosahatchee River (C-43) West Basin Storage Reservoir: Assisting and attending the preconstruction meetings; reviewing the monthly payment applications submitted by the contractor for the scope of work completed; Assisting and attending the biweekly progress meetings and required onsite meetings; managing the budget; reviewing the erosion and sedimentation control plan; performing Quality Assurance (QA) oversight, inspection, and acceptance for earthen dam features of work, including embankment construction, erosion remediation, and soil cement slope protection; ensuring compliance with the proposed work plan, RFIs, and project specifications; and documenting the contractor’s daily progress, observed quality deficiencies, and production quantities.

As the Senior Staff Geologist: responsible for performing the lead construction inspections; supervising the contractors’ work progress for Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA); and providing the monthly review of payment applications submitted by the contractor for the underground infrastructure projects; leading the weekly contractor quality meetings; regularly attending, participating, and drafting meeting minutes for project progress meetings; drafting project reports, including compiling field and laboratory testing data; and attending project owner/client meetings, to discuss project progress and quality. Donovan’s project experience was concentrated on underground infrastructure and utilities and Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) projects. Donovan’s responsibilities also included:• Collecting data and generating and updating as-built drawings.• Recording and reporting construction progress to the project management team.• Documenting and drafting deficiency reports and submitting contractor quality issues for the project team.• Reviewing the monthly payment applications submitted by the contractor.• Regularly coordinate and attend construction progress and quality meetings.• Performing administrative duties for processing meeting minutes, reports, and project submittals, as needed.• Performing Geotechnical Investigations and collecting in situ samples for identification, laboratory testing, and foundation design.• Regularly performing confined space entry inspections and remediation work for water and sanitary lines.

As the Staff Geologist and Inspector for NTH, responsible for performing the lead geotechnical investigations; obtaining in situ geotechnical data for foundation and design; requesting and reviewing proposals for geotechnical services from firm’s approved subcontractors; working regularly with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) schedule of values, permitting, and reporting for several Southeast Michigan engineering services contracts; completing training in MDOT billing procedures for submittal of firms’ application for payment, based on provided services; and performing project management tasks, including utility location, subcontractor coordination, project proposal review, and contractor payment application review
