As a Legislative Intern for Senator Jeff Merkley, I am gaining hands-on experience in federal legislative processes while contributing to the senator’s work on key policy issues. My responsibilities include conducting research, drafting memos, and assisting with constituent correspondence. I attend briefings and hearings, help with casework, and engage with advocacy groups. This role is deepening my understanding of public policy and enhancing my skills in research, communication, and public service.
