Responsible for developing project schedules and estimates leading to predictable delivery of high quality software through the rigorous Canon QA process.Projects were deployed onto a mix of Windows, Unix/Linux platforms using various development languages and tools including, ASP, ASP.NET, Java, J2EE, JSP, C++, SQL Server, and BEA WebLogic. Clients ranged from PC browsers, to Cable TV set top boxes (STB).Team size varied between 7 and 20 Engineering, QA and other technical members depending upon funding of projects over the course of management tenure.

Development Manager for OrCAD “Layout”, a printed circuit board CAD program. Responsible for the management of seven software developers and three contractors at three sites across the country. Additionally responsible for estimating development efforts, acquiring needed resources and monitoring the team’s progress toward the project objective. Coordinated the activities of the development staff with other members of an extended development team that included Quality Assurance, Technical Publications and Product Marketing team members.

Senior Engineer and Team Leader responsible for the design and implementation of a Win32 based project management system tailored to the US Government contractor marketplace. Oversaw project initiation, user interface design, architectural design & implementation phases. This system features a spreadsheet style user interface and makes extensive use of Win32 GUI elements. The system architecture features an object oriented design that stressed reusability so that the software could be developed on an aggressive schedule. Contributed to the development of project management policies to enable the team to meet its development schedule. Responsible for the implementation of the Work Breakdown Structure module.
