I led a team of Machinists, Welders, and Painters including interviewing, hiring, training, and reviews. Direct production schedule and prioritize work according to workflow demands; collaborate with other departments to maintain production and ensure customer needs are met.Served as a safety team member and administer for safety suggestions and corrective actions; succeeded in achieving a safety record of no lost time accidents in 3+ years. Initiated quality control measures and spearheaded the development of an employee sign-off policy which ensured quality of all work before material movement.

Supervised all dayshift machinists and directed second shift activities. I was responsible for production scheduling for machine shop, tracking production goals and posting progress results. Designed or helped with the design of fixtures for internal use and for external customers. I was a Safety team member with responsibility for accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

As a manual machinist I used vertical mills, lathes and grinders along with related equipment to complete machined parts. I helped with fixture design and then built the fixtures. I also helped with process planning and tooling selection.
