This position is responsible for implementation of the Key Production System, incorporating visual factory, visual warehouse, material pull system planning methodologies, PFEP, connecting processes, standardized work, and driving the culture of continuous improvement . The Key Production System models the Toyota Production System, and uses David Mann’s “Creating A Lean Culture” as a driving force in changing the culture within each KSS plant.The primary objective is to improve the cash position of KSS through the use of KPS tools to drive the culture change needed to sustain the gains earned.

This position manages 150 employees, manufacturing airbag inflators and inflator generant. The position is responsible for management of budgeting, P&L performance, customer service, facilities, new product launch, workforce, HS&E, quality, manufacturing processes, product cost improvement. Managed with the overall theme of visual factory, connected processes, standardized work, and a continuous improvement culture.
