Consulting through ALR Systems & Software in Omaha, Nebraska, I am responsible for developing internal websites using ASP.NET Core and MVC as well as SQL Server database management for Hertz Farm Management. Additional duties include assisting with the ETL to Microsoft Dynamics for Accounting and CRM.

Consulted through Midwest Cloud Computing, as a Software Developer. Modified current lending management software in as ASPX and C# .NET environment. Created new web pages using ASP.NET MVC 5.1. Was tasked with being the Lead for code merges via TFS for Agile Iterations. Wrote custom SQL queries against Microsoft’s TFS databases to find orphaned code changesets not associated with tasks and to find all required changesets within tasks marked as Ready for Promotion. After sudden departure of another key Developer, was asked to fully immerse myself in an internally created ETL tool using WCF and to document the code and processes and complete knowledge transfer to other Developers. Technologies also included MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

Consulted as a Systems Analyst to assist with changeover from iLytics' Anti-Money Laundering (AML) application to Fiserv's more robust Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) application. This includes interfacing directly with Mutual's Compliance Department to conform to the United States Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) by checking outgoing payments, executing transaction monitoring on incoming payments, and executing fraud detection. Technologies and tasks include writing scripts in Unix & Linux, creating databases and objects within SQL Server 2008, adjusting & formatting data for ETL using Informatica, and creating reports in Crystal Reports 2011 after dissecting Fiserv's Data model across their various databases.

I was involved with Database Administration across four intensively used Database platforms: SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008, Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition, IBM DB2, and Netezza / PureData System for Analytics. Duties included following security policies for user access, tuning queries, executing upgrades to database platforms and client applications, data modeling, maintaining and verifying backups, managing DB2 replication via MIMIX, maintaining Oracle replication via Dataguard, executing data migrations between development and test environments, reviewing ERD's from developers, following PCI standards, interfacing with all levels of developers and management, and writing, reviewing, and executing a variety of SQL statements to properly maintain and modify the database environments.

For United States Army Corps of Engineers (March 2011 - October 2011):Using Visual Studio 2010, VB.NET, SQL Server 2008, DotNetNuke, and DevExpress, I was solely responsible for taking the design requirements and building the database and screens for the management and general use of a Training Tracking System.For University of Nebraska at Omaha (October 2010 - February 2011):Continuing my assignment at UNO, additional tasks were required to wind down the development phase of the project and move the code repository, MySQL database, and executable code to a commercial server for the production phase of the project.

For University of Nebraska at Omaha (January 2009 - October 2010):I began this assignment in January of 2009. This project was born from Air Force funding. We were tasked with designing, coding, and testing an open-source, group-enabled, collaboration tool using Linux, MySQL, Java, Javascript, Ext JS, and Hibernate,. We developed the software using Agile methodologies and various coding, build, and test tools, including MyEclipse, Subversion, Maven, Continuum, VersionOne, Apache, Jetty, Bugzilla, and Testopia. Linux distributions included OpenSUSE, Centos, Ubuntu, and BSD. I was not only responsible for object-oriented code development, but also the research, installation, and maintenance of the various tools and environments since the beginning of the project. This project provided me the opportunity to take my Unix skills and research the various Linux distributions available, to install them in VMWare environments, to install them as stand-alone environments, and for me to create my own VMWare environment to create linux testing platforms.For TDAmeritrade (December 2007 - December 2008):During my one year assignment, I was tasked with researching their Order Management system and looking at how upgrades in hardware and operating systems would affect performance. I was also responsible for testing their environment on an IBM z Series platform. Technologies for this position mainly consisted of Solaris 10, Unix, and Oracle 10g. I was also responsible for setting up and analyzing various timing thresholds as well as suggesting some Oracle tuning.

For Ananda Consulting (September 2005 - September 2007):In this opportunity, I was initially tasked to work with users and other developers to create the detailed design documents for the project. The project was to convert railcar tracking and railcar maintenance applications of American Railcar Industries (based in St. Louis, Missouri) from their current mainframe system to client-server technology. The technology chosen was Microsoft’s 2.0 .Net Framework. Once the detailed design documents were approved, we went upon the task of creating the Microsoft SQL Server database and creating the screens using ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#.NET. In this assignment, I was able to learn and use .NET technologies, including acquiring Brainbench certification in .NET Framework and C#.For Merial Pharmaceuticals (October 2004 - August 2005):While on assignment in Duluth, Georgia, I was responsible for the technical design and implementation of an ETL process into an Oracle data warehouse. The data warehouse was used to feed sales and shipping data into a Cognos Power Cube for various reporting. Experiences included data modeling, table design, procedure development, tuning, and implementation of processes in Oracle 9i and Cognos’ Metrics Designer and Metrics Manager.For Sitel (March 2004 - September 2004):Upon my return, I helped coordinate and implement compliancy with the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. This mainly involved the removal of hard-coded passwords in Unix AIX script files and Oracle 9i packages, stored procedures, and triggers so that the passwords could be securely contained and accessed from a main, encrypted file.
