Senior Program Manager for the Marstel-Day portfolio of Air Force Special Programs spanning areas including mission encroachment management, operational airspace data mapping and analysis, compatible land use studies and analysis, Air Force community partnership support and engagement, water resource management and planning, and Headquarters Air Force training and education support.

Led a selectively manned office designated by the Air Force Chief of Staff as the single conduit for official communications between the Air Force and the Joint Staff and other US Government agencies. Provided strategic leadership, direction and guidance to ensure Air Force policy was consistent across the Headquarters staff and throughout subordinate Air Force units worldwide. Directed diverse cross-functional teams across multiple agencies to coordinate policy on issues ranging from Personnel Development and Training, to Combat Readiness and Deployment. Formulated and ensured timely communication of official Air Force responses to inquiries from the Joint Staff, White House, Congress and other US government agencies.Personally prepared the Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Staff and Chief of Operations for discussions and deliberations with the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Air Force and Joint Chiefs of Staff on all matters including manpower, personnel policy, intelligence, Cyberspace operations, training, force structure, overseas contingency operations, Sexual Assault Prevention, doctrine and strategy development, the Quadrennial Defense Review, National Defense Strategy and the budget. Planned, developed, and delivered presentations to the Chief of Staff that directly influenced Air Force decisions on organizational structure, aviation operations, overseas military presence and contingency operations.

Commanded an operational KC-135 tanker wing of 2,300 military and civilian personnel, executing a budget of $205 million annually, with a mission to provide aerial refueling in support of peacetime, contingency, nuclear deterrence and combat operations around the world. Hired to execute a transformational change for the Wing - successfully deactivating a 50-year air refueling mission while simultaneously transforming the base to support Air Combat Command's Global Hawk strategic reconnaissance mission.

Deputy Commander for Air Mobility Command's largest strategic airlift wing of 4,800 personnel, and home to 53 C-17 aircraft valued at $11.1 billion, executing a budget of over $375 million and managing programs and real assets in excess of $18.4 billion. The wing provides two-thirds of the USAF's total C-17 airdrop capability and 100% of the Special Operations force.

Directed all executive activities for the Office of the Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, maintained daily contact with the Joint Staff, Geographic Combatant Commanders, Department of State, National Security Staff and the White House and ensured all staff actions were coordinated and consistent with current policy.

Served as the lead Joint Staff strategist and planner for the develpment of all Department of Defense Global War on Terrorism plans and strategy. Provided strategic guidance and advised the US Special Operations Command planning team to ensure on-time completion of plans. Developed Department of Defense planning guidance to ensure integration and consistency of regional supporting plans. Drafted, coordinated and published the first-ever unclassified version of a National Military Strategic Plan for public dissemination.
