Quality was critical as these 24x7 real-time, distributed systems turned over billions in revenue each year and on the busiest days could lose up to $80,000 turnover per minute of downtime. Manager Testing Services oversaw all data, environments, test tools, policies and processes used for testing.-- Key Achievements -- Created a professional and cohesive Testing team that ensured 7 years of quality delivery of IS systems for customers via 24x7 channels, greatly improving customer experience and ultimately contributing to the business increasing revenue from $1b to $2b Successfully prepared systems for the biggest turnover day each year - Melbourne Cup. 3 consecutive years prior to taking up the role of Manager Testing Services, system outages on Melbourne Cup day occurred costing up to $80,000/min. The changes implemented resulted in no outages over the next 7 years Created a professional and cohesive Testing team of 20-30 that ensured 7 years of quality delivery of IS systems for customers  Introduced Test Automation tools, exploratory testing and test tools that dramatically reduced repetitive work and costs, while allowing much faster speed-to-market for changes.
