Currently an organic petrographer/geologist developing the Vitrinite Reflectance thermal maturity lab offering for Chemostrat, I run and maintain LECO TOC and manage our Spectro Scout XRF machines. I am an experienced Geologist and Computer Scientist with broad based cross training in petroleum systems exploration and development. I have extensive experience interpreting structure and stratigraphy in the Gulf of Mexico and various US land basins. I readily adopt new technology and transition from learning to teaching and development in short order. I achieved my PhD from The University of Texas at Austin studying the effects of surface roughness on fluid flow through fractures. I share my life out of the lab with my wife, dogs and horses, and can often be found on the back of my OTTB running around a field looking for something to jump.
