Military Aviation AuthorSelf-Employed Mar 2020 - PresentI am now pursuing my passion to research and write about military aviation, specifically focusing on the role of the Royal Australian Air Force in World war Two.My first book is about the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation's Boomerang fighter. The Boomerang has a unique place in Australian aviation history, being the nation's only home designed, produced and operated fighter aircraft. It saw service with the Royal Australian Air Force in World War Two.The book has been published by Avonmore Books and is available via the following link:https://avonmorebooks.com.au/?page=3&id=202

Phd CandidateMonash Water Sensitive Cities Cooperative Research Centre Oct 2013 - Sep 2017Monash University, ClaytonMy PhD project examined how planning regulation in Australian jurisdictions affects the implementation of water sensitive urban design practices. Australian governments believe planning laws can link the urban water cycle and urban planning, to improve the liveability of our cities and protect water resources, such as rainwater, stormwater, groundwater and urban waterways. This thesis examined that assumption via empirical research. Planning laws were found to focus on some parts of the urban water cycle, but not others. The research suggests ways to reform planning laws, so they address the entire urban water cycle, while fostering greener, more liveable urban spaces. Here is a link to a paper in the Australasian Journal of Water Resources, which highlights the key findings of my research:https://www.tandfonline.com/eprint/8FGN4J3JH5FZKGDFBDHC/full?target=10.1080/13241583.2020.1746173Here is a link to my thesis:https://figshare.com/articles/The_Influence_of_Statutory_Land_Use_Planning_on_Water_Sensitive_Urban_Design_Practices/5972140
