I embrace challenges and have discovered a genuine passion for personal security through my early career in health and social care. As our lives increasingly move into the virtual realm, I have come to recognise the equal importance of information security alongside physical security. Despite being the first woman in my family to pursue a degree in technology, I remained undeterred and shifted my focus, ultimately achieving a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and Computer Forensics from Kingston University.During my studies, I extensively explored a range of subjects encompassing Python Programming, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Network Security Fundamentals, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Ethical Hacking and Threat Hunting, Mitigation Analysis, Cryptography, and Secure Communications. These areas have provided me with a strong foundation in key aspects of the field.Complementing my formal education, I actively engage in continuous self-study through esteemed platforms like Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and industry resources. This commitment ensures that I remain up to date with the latest developments and emerging trends within the dynamic realm of cybersecurity.A distinct aspect of my skill set lies in my ability to foster relationships, communicate effectively, work collaboratively in teams, and adapt to unpredictable environments. These strengths enable me to contribute significant value to any organisation. I possess an eagerness to acquire new skills and continuously enhance my existing ones. While my professional experience primarily resides in the social care industry, I am determined to transition into the field of cybersecurity. I had the opportunity to work with Mace Dragados, which provided valuable insights into project management and collaboration within a professional setting. As I pursue my career, I am actively seeking opportunities as a SOC Analyst, Information Security Officer, or Security Analyst. These roles align perfectly with my aspirations, offering a platform to apply my knowledge, contribute to an organisation's security posture, and foster personal growth within the cybersecurity domain.Beyond my professional endeavours, I am an avid cyclist and find solace in singing, which serves as a creative outlet. These activities contribute to my well-rounded nature and reinforce the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
