Doran Levy, Ph.D. Email and Phone Number
I specialize in segmenting diverse markets using quantitative measurements of attitudes. The results of my analysis is used for market planning, advertising strategy, and product development.I manage a 30-year syndicated study tracking health consumers 40 years of age or older with three segmentations: 1) General attitudes about health, 2) acquiring health information, and 3) compliance with medical directives. Clients include their proprietary questions with on-going questions we ask about behavior, demographics, diseases, pharmaceutical and OTC drugs, sources of health information, etc. Our current database contains over 22,000 respondents and over 300 variables. My accomplishments include:• Building a business consulting function and statistical analysis organization to support strategic planning, real-time personalization, and campaign management for Interrelate, a CRM application service provider (ASP). • Leading research consulting on major consumer and business-to-business segmentation projects for clients such as Wells Fargo, Travelers, 3M, Exxon/Mobil, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Hallmark, Marriott, and many others. • Developing a department of seven professionals to coordinate strategic planning and customer relationship management for a world-wide advertising agency's largest account, Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Credit Corporation. Managing research project supporting new MGM Grand casino in Detroit.• Designing, selling, and implementing a massive national longitudinal segmentation study on 20,000 U.S. consumers 40 and older. Co-authored three books on Strategic Directions Group, Inc.’s research, Segmenting the Mature Market (McGraw Hill, 1993) and Marketing to the Mindset of Boomers and Their Elders (Attitudebase, 2002) and Health Motivations: 7 Dimensions that Shape America’s Health (Attitudebase, 2012). • Developing and implementing the Morgan-Levy Health Cube, an internet application to determine motivations that affect patients’ motivations toward healthy behaviors. This system pinpoints barriers to good health so that individuals, health plans, and employers can take remedial action.
