Oversee daily operations of community-level, community-mobilization program for young Black MSM (YMSM), called United Black Ellument (U-BE), an adaptation of the Mpowerment Project. U-BE is a multi-component intervention. Oversee the entire program involving three other coordinators, under the direction of the supervisors, one located at the Resource Center, and the others located at UCSF. Manage multiple projects, including outreach within community of YMSM simultaneously. Create publicity/marketing materials on testing, safer sex, and events that are distributed at various locations in community, including clinics, bars/club, stores in gay neighborhood where population frequents, as well as use in other community based organizations around state. Organize weekly volunteer group that serves as decision-making body for project and agents of change within their social networks. In charge of administrative issues and project. Maintain relationships with community stakeholders.

Responsible for 3-hour, small groups called U-BE Connected. Schedule and facilitate groups of 8-10 young gay black men from 18-29. Recruit young men into the groups, make reminder contacts to participants about the groups prior to the event. A target recruiting goal of 15% of the Dallas young Black MSM population to attend one U-BE connect in our two-year timeframe. Assist with weekly Core Group meetings, lead a publicity committee that design and produce safer sex promotional material, event flyers, outreach material and project invitations. Maintain daily administrative and upkeep duties of the project space and other activities as necessary.
