Skaldion is a Web-based development and online marketing studio where we offer tailored solutions to our clients. I am in charge of everything related to Web development. So far, our most remarkable project has been for Swarovski and we are still working for them.- For Swarovski, we developed a solution for their logistics department that boosted their productivity by 400% in their packaging process while also reducing human error significantly.I worked on multiple projects over the course of 2 years for Gelita, an international company that manufactures collagen products. Alongside my father, I developed 2 systems that are central to Gelita’s logistics and production processes, such as raw material management, including location tracking, expiration date, eligibility, laboratory testing, etc.My responsibilities were:- Talking with all parties involved with the project to identify and understand their needs.- Project planning (dividing the project into small tasks, estimating project duration, choosing the best platform, technologies and frameworks to be used in the project, etc.).- Designing an elegant and efficient solution.- Writing extensible and maintainable code.- Writing and running unity and integration tests.- Training end users.

I was in charge of designing the architecture and development of a system called Contabiliza.me for the company Contar 2M. It was an accounting Web application targeted at small businesses with which users could keep track of their finances, calculate taxes and ask for professional support. It was designed to serve hundreds of thousands of concurrent users and to handle large volumes of data with the ultimate goal of performing data mining tasks. With these requirements in mind, I decided to use a stateless architecture and to upload the application to a cloud server for scalability and easier management. The system was developed using Play Framework with Java and was tested on a Heroku server.

LegoSoft is a boutique software development company with the goal of offering the best Rich Internet Applications in Mexico. I worked for LegoSoft as a RIA Developer and got to know the ins and outs of the software development industry while I was there. As a RIA Developer, it was my responsibility to perform each and every stage of the software development cycle. This meant that I had direct contact with the client and sometimes I answered directly to them. We worked in teams consisting of a project manager and two or more developers, depending on the size of the project. We worked primarily with Java and its most popular frameworks such as: JSF, Tapestry, Swing, Spring and EJB. Our biggest client was Ixe and I got to work on 2 very important modules for them: Investment Funds and Online Service Payments. I also developed services for Ixe’s mobile bank application. I learned to work in teams of different sizes, to communicate effectively with my manager and with clients, also to work under pressure while still meeting deadlines.
