I am a fourth year veterinary student at Cornell University. I have previous experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician for two years prior to veterinary school at a general practice; I continued to work at the same general practice during winter and summer breaks during school. I worked as both appointment and surgical lead with role centering on management of the day's appointments, and serving as point person between the doctors and the rest of the day's technician team. I also served as a member of the training team for newly hired technicians where I was tasked with ensuring new hires have an understanding of the clinic's protocols and enable them with opportunities to demonstrate growth with their technical skills and appointment management skills.
