During my time here,I have gained experiance in assisting with coordinating DR and user testing as well as SIT on projects. I was also required to assist with production support which includes EOD support,BAU as well as possible issues in the live environment for which investigation and a fix is required. I have gained more experiance and exposure in credit related instruments and equities as well as on the MX credit risk and market risk modules and pre trade. I also have delivered changes to the MX workflows as well as to the Murex pretrade. I assisted my team in working on the IBOR transition project towards the end of 2021. Part of my responsibilities also include investigation of technical issues and assisting with administrator tasks such as bouncing services. I also have experiance in both analyzing and implementing changes to cash related procedures as well as performing a logical trade purge (system optimization and maintenance procedures). Collateral and MLC (exposure calculations,calendars,limits) were also two other Murex modules which I worked on. In 2023,my team and I completed a Murex upgrade project - I was the stream lead for collateral,credit risk as well as back office functionality. During this year I also worked on both IBM Active MQ and IBM MQ integration into Murex. I worked as well on the conversion of the Swift MT103 templates to Swift MT101 templates within Murex. While on Calypso,I gained experiance on liasing with various teams from business to development to testing to post implementation support. I got to work on different asset classes in Calyso which included IRD products,money market instruments,commodities as well as FX. I worked on Markitwire and the integration thereof for both trading systems. While working on Murex,I gained experiance in trade migration, implementing features for business (while also being aware of system limitations and how to work around that), taking part in user sessions to demo new and existing functionality to the users for sign off, liasing with the vendor first level support and product support team regarding core functionality. I gained experiance in the following areas as our interface was end to end: integration,front office,back office, risk and reporting. I also did gain some experiance on the Murex collateral module as well as troubleshooting integration issues via the MX back end workflows. I learnt to work in an environment where features were implemented on an already live system and in a high pressure project environment where delivery and attention to detail were key and big implementations were the norm to meet business expectations. I assisted with the maintenance of terminals (flashing, updating software, configuring modem settings and configuring values within the registry). I also assisted with the testing of these terminals and troubleshooting with regards to hardware. In addition to this, I also got exposure to setting up networks.

I was responsible for making reservations, for placing food,liquor and merchandise orders. I also gained basic financial knowledge and experience with regards to cash ups, working out and paying waiter commissions and tips. I also worked with email communications from customers, assisted managers with booking functions, placed take away orders and assisted with capturing stock take values. This position helped me to improve my communication skills as well as my financial skills.
