The Virginia Junior Science and Humanities Symposium is open to most students in grades 9th-12th in public, private or home schools living in Virginia, except those who live the cities/ counties of Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax. These students must apply to the Washington DC Metro at Georgetown Univ. deadline was Jan 7, 2019. Students share oral presentations of their scientific research in scholarship competition. The 60th Shenandoah Valley Regional Science Fair will be held on March 5, 2019 at James Madison University. The Shenandoah Valley Regional Science Fair is usually held on Tuesday of Spring Break at James Madison University. It is open to 6th through 12th students at public, private and home schools in a region from Lexington in the South through Clarke Co in the North along I-81.
