• Develop, document and help implement new or improved, robust, cost-efficient and safe manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients • Develop and perform experiments to support technical projects and resolve production issues with limited supervision • Provide process expertise and in depth knowledge on product related chemical processes to a cross functional, multidisciplinary team, including Chemical and Analytical Development as well as Pilot Plant personnel• Utilize laboratory and engineering factors to simulate scale- up of multi-step synthetic processes • Prepare, operate and maintain laboratory hardware and instrumentation • Use working knowledge of chromatographic analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR and MS to support the synthetic development process• Coordinate and maintain the chemical inventory system• Record all information into laboratory notebooks• Actively participate in project meetings • Operate in accordance with cGMP, OHSA and FDA regulations
