About Doreen Ankamah, Md,Mph, Ibclc

I am a Ghanaian trained physician with 7+ years of combined experience in clinical medicine, public health and research in Ghana, Zambia, South Sudan and Iraq. I graduated with a Master of Public Health from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health with a specialization in maternal,child & family health. Over the last two years, I have been involved in diverse research activities with broad focus on women and children’s health especially those in low and middle-income countries who in many instances have restricted health care access. I am particularly interested in strengthening health systems in fragile public health settings, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) in emergency and non-emergency settings as well as Sexual & Reproductive Health.
