Leading the United Nations specialized agency for ICTs, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) based in Geneva, Switzerland. Advancing #connectivity for the other half of the world's population that remains without access. I am an energetic, innovative and experienced leader. Working to drive international cooperation, enhance confidence and security in the use of ICTs, promote sustainable #DigitalTransformation, achieve meaningful, #UniversalConnectivity, and much more. Also serve as the Co-Vice Chair of the @Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development. Have passionately driven the creation of the EQUALS global partnership, #Partner2Connect Digital Coalition and ITU-UNICEF @Giga school connectivity initiative. I previously served as the elected Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT). Prior to that, the Chief of the ITU Strategic Planning and Membership Department, as well as the Head of the Regulatory Reform, Economics and Finance programme in the ITU/BDT. Before joining ITU, I was a Policy Specialist in the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA), US Department of Commerce where I focussed on satellite communications, Latin America, and ITU matters.
