From a young age, I have always been fascinated by computers. My journey into technology began with a strong interest that led me to explore and learn on my own. Server Management and Security:I remember hosting my first server to play games online with friends, leading me down the rabbit hole of server management and network communication, something I still enjoy to this day. Speaking of games, before I had my own money I would download games through peer-to-peer networks, which exposed me to the wonderful world of data sharing and also, not surprisingly, my first computer virus. At the time it was quite frightening, but also a valuable lesson in online security and the vulnerabilities of my own system.Introduction to Python:During my time in my high school's computer lab, I found a unique way to combine programming and my academics. While my teacher saw it as procrastination or not focusing on the assignment, I saw it as a way to save me time in the future. Using an online Python interpreter, I wrote my first program which allowed me to input numbers from my physics homework based on the type of problem for quick answers. This not only showcased my unique way of solving problems, but was also my introduction into Python.Linux:One of my proudest achievements has been teaching myself Linux. It started with playing around in Kali Linux thinking I'm some sort of hacker, but evolved into a full immersion into this open-source operating system even if it meant encountering countless errors. Through hours upon hours of troubleshooting and reading wikis, I honed my skills, becoming proficient in Linux administration.Why Cyber Security?All of these experiences have shaped me into the professional I am today, leading my down the path of cyber security, a field where I know my experience will be valuable in an ever-evolving industry that will constantly challenge and motivate me.
