Overall, I deliver curriculum and support students in our immersive software development training. But specifically, as a Web Development Instructor, I am instrumental in facilitating students’ career transitions. It is an honor to uplift, up level, and empower people by sharing my craft. My primary responsibility is to deliver Codeup’s custom curriculum to our classes through lecture, code walk-throughs, and exercises, while supporting individual students in 1:1s and office hours. I also maintain and improve our curriculum, and hone my technical chops by building custom software and tools for the company.

My day to day consists of the following: Being the first one in the office. Checking applications that have been deployed to production for errors. Checking the backlog for new PBI's or bugs to test. Checking if any updates have been made to the code and need to be pushed to the test environment. Cloning repositories and Merging code branches to ensure I have the newest version of code using Git, the Command Line. Submitting Pull requests to submit my changes. Using and familiarizing myself with the following languages/libraries: HTML, CSS, Javascript ES6, ReactJS, and TypeScript using Microsoft's VSTS IDE. Using build tools like Grunt and Webpack. Primary Operating system used is Windows, but I am familiar with Linux. Using GraphiQL (an awesome app for GraphQL. It allows for the front-end to retrieve data from the backend) to query the relational databases we use (Azure SQL Database and SSMS SQL Server Management Studio17). Some familiarity with Apollo Client which allows for UI components to independently fetch data via GraphQL and cache the data.
