As a young man I had a difficult time balancing out a full-time job along with school. With that in mind, in 2013 I took a break to work 2 jobs and bringing in bigger income. 2015 was the year I decided I needed a skill and a way for an easier education. What started out as my trip to the air force recruitment office ended me next door at the United States Navy recruitment center. Over the next 2 years of my life, I received a minor education in electronics in my job rate school in 2015 through 2017. September 1st of 2017 I first stepped onto the USS Momsen.Over the next four years, my workweek consisted constantly of hands in my equipment, inspections on my equipment, or passing down prior experiences and knowledge to my juniors. I became familiar with power distribution. I took over as the lead tech for inspections of our over 100 valve water cooling system. My mechanical knowledge became well versed over 4 years. By the end of my enlistment, I had received two navy achievement medals, a congratulatory coin from the captain, and a congratulatory coin from the chiefs.Now I plan to use my skills and experience now to further my knowledge in electronics, and if the government continues to fund my education to pursue a bachelor's degree over the next 4 years.
