The Gibbwork range is a collection of lamps and household items designed to offer classic aesthetic with contemporary form. Many of the products in the ‘g’ range are a response to selected material or a discovered form / object. The question of how a given material compliments certain forms and then how best to match form and material to create functionality is integral to the work. There are also elements of humour & whimsy that give a product its personality and hopefully make it a character in your life you will cherish for years to come.

As a school field trip leader for The Learning Project Asia I am employed as a freelance consultant and trip leader to assist in the creation and implementation of a variety of school field trips run by The Learning Project team serving international schools in Vietnam. United Nations International School - Grade 11 Leadership Week. Leading a group of over 80 students and 10 Unis staff the Leadership week was designed to give the students a platform upon which to bond, develop autonomy skills and experience a life far removed from their own urban experience before embarking on the rigorous 2 year International baccalaureate Diploma program. Hanoi International School - Grade 12 Local School Playground Build Trip. A team of 30 students lead by myself and the Blue Dragon Charity visited a remote village near the Vietnam / China boarder to build a playground at a small kindergarten as part of the Community, Service and Action program at the school.

“aROUND aBOUT” is my first solo exhibition of work. Unlike many solo shows, the 30 artworks on display in the exhibition were curated from a variety of different bodies of work including Painting, Print, Mixed Media, Photography, and sculpture with the majority being made over the past two years. Emotional and thought sensations born of a visual experience produce depth beyond an image or the picture plane and our experience of it. I believe that it is possible, through all good art, to see that which is useable, understand the unknowable and sense beyond our perceptions. I believe all art is completed by the viewer and will vary from person to person. This is one of the arts greatest and most sublime achievements. I hope there is something in my work for you.

Sentia School is a newly established bilingual primary school developed as the pathway school from Koala House Kindergartens in Hanoi. The award-winning school design will open it's doors to students in August 2018 offering parents a new benchmark standard in primary education. My role as the interior designer is to bring life, community engagement opportunities and vibrancy to the new building. As creative curriculum coordinator, my mission is to design and monitor an art and design programme that offers students a holistic and contemporary art and design education. In doing so my vision is to create a showcase art department that unites all subject areas and wider stakeholder community by demonstrating the power and importance of creativity in student development.

Since July 2014 Work Room Four has delivered an Art Summer School to students from various international schools in Hanoi. The aim of the school is to escalate student creativity and so experience the joy found in creating something unique, develop new skills to tangible effect and learn to critique their own and their peers outcomes. We want them to feel proud of an achievement and feel part of a collaborative. Learning and fun is facilitated through practical activities, enjoying texture and gesture, studying techniques and mediums and critical group dialogue of work made along with instruction in the theory and history of art. Each year the course follows a new theme - identity, Process and Iteration, Colour and Emotion, Propaganda.

The Ha Noi Open Exhibition is now in its third year and growing to be one of the largest annual calendar Arts event in Ha Noi. In the 3 years that it has run we have exhibited over 400 works by over 200 artists. The event is attended by over a thousand visitors and offers art talks and student group visits. Based on the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition which is now its its 247th year the Ha Noi distant cousin is open to amateurs and professional alike. Covering Painting, Sculpture, Print, Photography and Mixed Media the 'patchwork quilt' of art hangs laden on the gallery walls and demands attention and dialogue on what is art for you? A pleasure and an honour to have initiated such a collaborative event.

Breadinghurst School is a special needs institution for teenage boys with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Students who have been unable to cope with mainstream education in state schools attend Breadinghurst to benefit from specialised tuition from teachers with training and experience in social and emotional support. I was contracted for a year as the lead teacher in the Rye Cottage secure unit delivering all subject areas for students aged 11-16 years old. Liasing with the Police, Social Services, Local Councils and various youth and family support services gave me an insight into the lives and challenges faced by an often misunderstood and overlooked social demographic. I class this post the most challenging, rewarding and eyeopening of my teaching career. Nice work with nice people.

I may not have filled the post or had in depth liaison with each agency but getting to know their company profile and design work was an insight and an inspiration. The most inspiring were the design candidates and portfolios I saw in a bid to find the right creative for the right job. Genuinely enjoyable work.
