About Dorien Proost, Phd

In my current role as a Global Product Manager in NGS technology and workflows, I'm responsible for the SureMASTR Oncology portfolio as well as SureMASTR automation.Before that I was an Application Specialist at Multiplicom (prior to the acquisition by Agilent Technologies) in the field of Non invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), mainly responsible for technical support for both customers and internal.During my PhD at the Center for Medical Genetics in Antwerp, I worked in the field of cardiogenetics. I performed and optimized targeted sequencing panels for thoracic aortic aneurysms, primary arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies, using both the MASTR (Multiplicom) and HaloPlex (Agilent Technologies) technology followed by Next Generation Sequencing on a MiSeq machine (Illumina).All of these assays are now routinely used in the diagnostic laboratory.
