Neverfail SCOPE is a tool that validates the system requirements of an environment where Neverfail Heartbeat is about to be installed; subsequently, it offers comprehensive monitoring of the health and performance of the server system and installed applications. It is a critical part of the pre-install process, ensuring a good rate of successful installations, as well as detecting potential issues before they can cause downtime.I was promoted to the SCOPE team leader position, in charge of the team that develops the SCOPE Data Collector and the analysis engine. The AMF framework offers dynamic plug-in facilities to the Neverfail Continuous Availability Suite, implementing the application-specific knowledge required to seamlessly protect multiple application environments. Each plug-in supports built-in as well as user-customizable rules and triggers that allow the proactive monitoring necessary for avoiding downtime.I was promoted to the AMF plug-in team leader position, in charge of managing the research and development work, automating build and deployment procedures as well as time and resource management.Technologies used: C#, C++, C++/CLI, various application SDKs, NAnt, Subversion, Trac.

Participated in the development of the Infokiosk In-Store Media Manager. This solution manages a large number of info-kiosk networks, distributed around the country. The monitoring and reporting is based on VPN and a Web-service based architecture, with a control/probe software running on each physical machine. I enhanced the existing code with a background schedule and delivery mechanism for applications running on the kiosks, modularized the ASP.NET pages into user controls, supervised the redesign of the administration site front end. I also helped introduce a flexible source code and project management solution, based on open-source software.Technologies used: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, NHibernate, Subversion, Trac.

As part of a team of three, implemented a three-tiered web-based application for a Fortune 500 investment brokerage U.S.-based company. The application processes and schedules appointments among sales persons and clients, chooses the most appropriate sales person for each client, manages trips and reservations. A custom-built Python server, backed by a Microsoft SQL Server database drives the application, while the web client is powered by Cokinetic technology. I was in charge with the application's entire front end: GUI workflow, UI screen design, the screen rendering code, data validation and reporting.In February 2004 I was appointed project lead.Technologies used: Python 2.3, SQL Server 2000, Cokinetic Designer & Player.

Based on existing specifications, I built a presentation and e-commerce site for the Austrian Forestry State Department. The site includes a completely revamped look, standards-based and cross-browser accessible, while preserving the company's visual identity.The site provides client management, reporting, an internal news review and publishing system, and three client sections: real estate offers, hunting ground rental and fishing-related activities. The fishing part of the site allows clients to buy fishing services, courses, guidance, as well as fishing licenses with online payment and transaction history.Technologies used: JSP, JDBC, Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
