Positive cooperation between companies, governments and NGOs produces the best of all worlds. The dynamics and innovative spirit of business can then be linked to social goals and a strong implementation. As a director and boardmember I am at my best when I can connect the different domains, translate different interests of stakeholders and get things moving. My career led from PWC, the municipality of Amsterdam, the Dutch Refugee Council to the Postcode lottery/Friends lottery. I gained broad experience with governance, mergers, reorganisations, strategy operations, mission development, compliance, lobbying, advocacy and media appearances. I am used to complex environments and sensitive subjects such as climate, asylum politics, poverty reduction and cultural needs. For the Postcode Lottery/Friends Lottery I have worked in recent years on strengthening the internal organisation, implementing the merger of two brands and leading the departments of Public Affairs, Legal, Risk, Information Security and Communication; strengthening the cooperation between Dutch cultural funds; enlarging the substantive character of fundraising events; lobbying successfully in The Hague to safeguard the distinction between safe lotteries and risky games of chance.I will use the next months to orientate myself on a new professional challenge as a director and/or boardmember. At a place where worlds need to come together and where I can bring my positive energy to make that happen.
