Learning & DevelopmentCurated insurance courses to give newer and non-industry employees a better understanding of Velocity and the industry. Created VR University courses with material from the CPCU. Created How Velocity Works, recruiting instructors and moderating the course. Customized Professional Development courses for employees, including DiSC with 95% employee engagement. Facilitated additional learning with external instructors: Seven DDI courses, annual AON Reinsurance training, and Empathy training with a focus on Unconscious Bias and Allyship. Launched two LMS Platforms, first Northpass in 2019, and then Disprz in 2023, for online learning. Created Values and Compliance courses using Camtasia with nearly 100% completion rate by employees.Employee EngagementImplemented Best Places to Work survey in 2021 & 2022 with 84% survey engagement, landing in top 100. Founded DE&I Committee in 2021 and developed strategic plan with a focus on workplace inclusion, workforce diversity, business impact, leadership commitment, and communication transparency. Interviewed and wrote monthly employee spotlights, resulting in top engagement on social media. Successfully lobbied to add Juneteenth as an annual holiday, increased support of the Red Cross, and launched Velocity’s Volunteer Reward program to support employee volunteerism and donations.Marketing & BrandingHeaded a successful rebranding project in 2021. Implemented strategic social media engagement with a focus on recruiting and culture, resulting in LinkedIn followers increasing more than 100% in three years. Streamlined external communications through agent emails, social media, and press releases. Developed the corporate ESG policy. Spearheaded the Velocity Mobile app development.

Led external marketing and communication efforts, including strategy, content and channels. Develop agent training framework, curriculum and materials. Lead and support agency management and distribution growth goals in existing and future markets.

Led corporate social responsibility for Farmers Insurance nationwide. Evolved the corporate giving strategy to better align philanthropy with the company's business strategy. Worked with employee volunteer leads around the country to help develop initiatives that improve employee engagement while remaining aligned with the corporate strategy.Helped launch and manage the Farmers Family Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization with a primary purpose of employees helping employees suffering catastrophic financial hardship, and a secondary purpose as a flow through vehicle for other 501(c)(3) charities. The charity is 100% funded by employees, with more than 30% of employees giving regularly through payroll deductions. Launched the Farmers Cares initiative in Joplin, Missouri, with four key objectives: Promote volunteerism in Joplin; direct programmatic donations to support the Farmers brand; develop a Disaster Recovery Playbook to help future communities who suffer catastrophic losses; and improve awareness, consideration and Net Promoter Score within the Joplin community.

Provided project management expertise for a new home product. Designed a timeline and project plan and worked with state product managers and their analysts to ensure numerous deadlines were met. Also helped roll out the product to Farmers agents in various states.

Responsible for Western Zone Commercial GWP and Commercial Wholesalers. Helped fill six Wholesaler positions. Led several marketing projects designed to increase commercial production.

Project lead for expansive auto insurance sales promotion, including design of promotion, web page, prizes, tracking and communication. Worked extensively on agent Achievement Club programs including communication, content and reducing the selection process for the highest honor, President's Club from six months to two months. Led Marketing communication on agent intranet.

Led all aspects of the flood program for Farmers, including training, agent inquiries, Department of Insurance complaints, Errors & Omissions claims, participated in numerous flood committees. Produced a training video for agents which won the Public Awareness Materials Contest at the National Flood Conference in 2002.

I began my career with Farmers as a licensed Customer Service Rep for an agent, and signed my agent contract after graduating from college. I earned Roundtable and Topper status as a Commercial producer in my first 18 months, but left the agent ranks to become a Commercial trainer in Ohio and later moved to Nashville, TN, to expand my experiences as a Sr. Marketing Specialist and Commercial Marketing & Sales Specialist.

I taught a risk management course as part of the finance department. The course included basic information about risk management, as well as risk management financing techniques.
