I have strong experience in partnering within a not-for-profit (NFP) environment (partnering with industry, government and other NFP entities from the NFP side whilst Partnering Manager at AIME). I have many years experience working in higher education, firstly within the IT sphere, then shifting to technical writing and lastly fostering communal approaches to research having spent the last five years creating and building an eResearch Community at UNSW (Research Technology Services) with the aim of skills sharing (Lunch & Learn talks, Seminars, Hacky Hours), up-skilling in technical tools for research and web resources. I thrive in positive and dynamic environments. I have demonstrated my strong communication skills, both verbal and written, throughout my varied and unique career (Higher Education, NFP/NGO, Commercialisation Start-up, Media and Government). My background in IT has shaped the way I analyse issues, approach problem solving and manage projects. I am a people person with great listening skills which results in forming strong relationships. I have a high level of organisation and like to develop and implement structure where I find it necessary. I am a strong believer in positive management. I also really, really like helping people.I speak, write and read fluent Spanish and English. Currently updating my French (B1/Int).

Knowledge Management/Technical WriterUniversity Of New South Wales Mar 2008 - Apr 2011Unsw Australian School Of BusinessDealing with the usual conundrum that is documentation versus reactive IT, I managed our internal Wiki (MediaWiki with Semantic Extension) and IT based documentation within our unit. Shaping the WikiIT and developing strategies for its use, developing templates, implementation and assurance of valid data kept me quite busy! When not fiddling around with this I helped with the implementation of the CA Service Desk for and within the Australian School of Business. Liaising with Central IT as to the look and feel, contributing to the central knowledge database and general troubleshooting was great experience. Some highlights:- Developed framework and documentation for the internal Wiki mentioned above, following ITIL v3 guidelines. Documentation grew from a few random sections to a well organised wiki database consisting of over 500 articles.- Prince2 Project based activities involving the integration of faculty based IT support into the centralised model.- Designed, produced and published IT@ASB newsletters using Adobe InDesign 5.0 -
