Doris Mohead has 45 years in the Nursing Arena, having begun her career at Arizona State University in 1965 in Tempe, Arizona. After attending ASU, she returned to Texas and continued her nursing career beginning at Bellaire Hospital, and becoming an LVN. Doris attended the Houston Community College system obtaining an ADN in 1992, becoming an RN.She attended Texas Woman's University in Houston, obtaining a Bachelor's degree with a Minor in Biology in 1996. In 2003, Doris attended Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama obtaining an MBA, a double Masters in Business Administration and Health Administration. Her Home Health experience began in 1970 and continued for 18 years with emphasis focused mostly on Geriatrics and Psychiatric Nursing through out the Houston area.Doris ran the Family Practice Clinic at Kelsey Seybold and later ran a doctor's office for Gastroenterology becoming a lifetime member of the Gastrointestinal Society. In 1988, Doris entered the field of Correctional Nursing at the Harris County Sheriff's Dept. spending 21.5 years in the Correctional environment. During her tenure she became certified in Correctional Nursing, was promoted to Management in 2000 which opened doors allowing her to utilize her staffing skills while working with numerous Agencies.In June 2009, she retired from the HCSO with future plans of owning her own HealthCare Agency. With the recent changes in the health care field, her ultimate goal and vision is to grow, develop,and meet the emerging consumer demands that will allow her company to succeed.The projected future performance of D & A HealthCare Services is to expand into new divisions,including Facility staffing, Health and Wellness, and Recruiting, thus creating a better means of serving our Client population.
