CurrentAkwaaba Care Services provides culturally sensitive care for the sick, disabled and elderly Africans through ethnic community health professionals. Our unique approache to health care assistance makes it easier for migrants to access the health and social welfare facilities available in the Netherlands. Akwaaba Care Services has developed an intervention programme in which ethnic community health professionals act as liaisons between the community and other health care and social welfare services. We also organise health needs assessment of the community.Tasks:Provides leadership and direction for overall facility operations.Provides oversight of key areas including financial operations, human resources, customer service, marketing, and clinical operations.Implements policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team.Manages budget to meet facility needs and division goals.Reports to the Board of Directors of Akwaaba Zorg.Assist the African community with health and social welfare programs; Play intermediair rol between the African community and the (government) health and social welfare organisations;Support, develop and evaluate strategies that encourage community participation in health and social welfare activitiesMonitor, evaluate and recommend changes to community development programs, on health, education and child upbringing;Help raise community and public awareness regarding issues such as health, welfare rights bypromoting, organising and/or helping to coordinate meetings and seminars
