Akwaaba Care Services provides culturally sensitive care for the sick, disabled and elderly Africans through ethnic community health professionals. Our unique approache to health care assistance makes it easier for migrants to access the health and social welfare facilities available in the Netherlands. Akwaaba Care Services has developed an intervention programme in which ethnic community health professionals act as liaisons between the community and other health care and social welfare services. We also organise health needs assessment of the community.Tasks:Provides leadership and direction for overall facility operations.Provides oversight of key areas including financial operations, human resources, customer service, marketing, and clinical operations.Implements policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team.Manages budget to meet facility needs and division goals.Reports to the Board of Directors of Akwaaba Zorg.Assist the African community with health and social welfare programs; Play intermediair rol between the African community and the (government) health and social welfare organisations;Support, develop and evaluate strategies that encourage community participation in health and social welfare activitiesMonitor, evaluate and recommend changes to community development programs, on health, education and child upbringing;Help raise community and public awareness regarding issues such as health, welfare rights bypromoting, organising and/or helping to coordinate meetings and seminars

Regional ManagerPrepare and plan strategic implementation of all interventions related to development Prepare expression of interest and project proposal in accordance with funding agreements from the local government.Coordinate regional activity and management of 75 staff of Nursery Teachers and Social Workers. Design and implement a Monitoring and Evaluation plan for all Child & Youth development programs such as the pre-school programme ‘VVE’ and Parent-child programmes. Validate effectiveness and outcomes and yearly output to purpose review.Conduct needs assessments and baseline tools development and effect plans for resource mobilization. Define program direction and initiate project proposal submissions. Coordinate the development of new proposals and initiatives for the Child & Youth and parents program accordance with the local government strategic plan. Participate in cross cultural and multisectoral programmes and activities.Conduct RCM to identify gaps and areas of weak capacity, institute capacity strengthening and building plan and update yearly business development plan.Employ, develop and directly supervise the team of social /community workers. Develop and implement a staff capacity building strategy that prioritizes and enables coordinators through training and delegation. Produce monthly reports and provide direct strategic advice to the coordinators and director of Swazoom so as to amend the programmatic priorities and implementation modalities as necessary. Manage implementation of grants and reporting systems and management of budgets, including budget forecasting, development of spending and work plan.
