Educaid.be is a Belgian platform that brings together Belgian actors in the field of education and development cooperation. The platform represents almost 40 organisations and around 90 individuals. It engages academics and researchers, policy-makers and practitioners from non-governmental organisations. I was responsible for all communications of the platform in French and Dutch (English where required). This means among others: ● maintaining the website (Drupal) and social media ● coordinating and editing the digital newsletter ● organising several events, including the annual conference (170 participants from all over the world)

Within the organising team of the 2-day festival Mano Mundo, I was responsible for all aspects of communication. In particular: ● press contact and spokeswoman of the festival ● responsible for the festival brochure (150.000 pieces) (content creation, copywriting, editing, design) ● developing the festival’s communications material and managing its production ● maintaining website (WordPress) and social media (Facebook and Twitter)

Within the project team exploring the best scenario for public transportation with a high level of service in Nijmegen, I worked for the taskforce communication. Through a process of digital co-creation, more than 1000 citizens actively contributed to the creation of a new culture policy (2012-2016) for Nijmegen. Within the small project team, I was responsible for: ● moderating the online platform ● editing web texts ● approaching target groups by social media (mainly Facebook) ● generating attention for the project by stimulating media and bloggers to cover the topic

Ecolife was about to engage a communication agency to develop a new corporate identity when I started my traineeship there. I got to evaluate the proposals of the different agencies, and was closely involved in the process of developing and implementing the new corporate identity. In particular, I contributed to: ● the creation of a new website (proposing the structure and content, (re)writing web texts for different target audiences) ● the implementation of the new corporate identity (giving guidance to employees and freelancers) ● the creation of the newsletter and product information sheets for different target groups
