Our mission is to educate our supporters and the public about the legacy and contributions the Choctaw Freedmen and their ancestors made to the the history of the US, Oklahoma and Choctaw Nation. In 1830s the once enslaved Choctaw Freedmen lived in Mississippi among and traveled on the "Trail of Tears" along side with the Choctaw Nation to the New Indian Territory what we now know as SE Oklahoma (Settled in towns & communities Tom, Harris, Hugo, Idabel, Kullituckalo, Valliant,) aka McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
