Over 12 years experience coding and auditing impatient encounters at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. PSHMC is a level 1 Trauma center and academic teaching hospital. Two years experience as Manager of Coding in academic medical center environment. Responsible for overseeing all coding related functions. Work closely with CDI department, as well as other Revenue Cycle Departments. Six years previous supervisory experience in HIM and coding. Front line manager for 11 employees, I also worked with billing to resolve discrepancies on inpatient and outpatient accounts. In addition I worked with outside vendors to supplement our coders and manage the DNFB.
