In her board service, she draws upon her 35 years of executive experience at Royal Host REIT, CubeSmart REIT the third largest storage REIT in the US, BWH Hotel Group and Wyndham Hotel Group, both top 10 global hotel companies in size and scale. Thanks to her firm belief in the value of enduring business relationships, Dorothy while CMO at BWH Hotel and Resorts was a pioneer and pursued strategic partnerships with organizations such as AAA/CAA as well as developed innovative partnerships with Google, Expedia, TripAdvisor, Facebook, and IBM Watson. In her commercial capacity she also partnered with many clients from all sectors including major intermediaries, corporate and government buyers.In April 2019, Dowling was elected President of the Global Business Travel Association Allied Leadership Council. Dowling currently serves on HSMAI’s global foundation board and is a former chair of the HSMAI Americas Board of Directors and past president of HSMAI Canada. Dowling has recently been recognized for her leadership in hospitality by being honored with Lifetime Achievement awards from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), The Stephen Brener Award at the New York University Investment Conference and GBTA WINIT for her leadership in marketing and commercial activity and her commitment to advocacy in the D&I space. Dorothy is known to be an exceptionally collaborative leader.
