With JPW Creative LLC, I accompanied an interior designer to consultations, meetings, follow-ups, and more. I also got experience with hands-on design tasks such as hanging art, installing window treatments, and setting up furniture. Not only did I engage in traditional interior design tasks, but also mundane ones such as running errands and organizing fabric samples. I got to be a part of design decisions and grow my creativity and design skills. Working for JPW Creative allowed me to understand what daily life looks like for an interior designer.

As a sales associate for Brendan Reid, I gained skills in customer service, styling, store upkeep, PR, and much more. Brendan Reid is a small consignment store in Frankfort, Kentucky. My main tasks in the store were organizing and displaying clothes, tending to customers, styling customers, and running/updating social media. Brendan Reid's environment taught me how to manage my own tasks while simultaneously having to tend to customers. It also broadened my interior styling skills since it required me to be very intentional about how I displayed new merchandise.

At Campus Recreation & Wellness, I was in charge of greeting and checking in guests, overseeing all fitness activities, monitoring safety, and up-keeping facilities. In this environment I developed better skills involving communication, attentiveness, management, and more.

As a lifeguard for the Frankfort Country Club, I had to not only monitor swimmers at all times, but also clean, engage in customer service, and enforce rules. In addition to being CPR certified for the job, I also became very good at paying attention to many things at once - this was an important skill to have because there would often be many people in or around the pool at the same time. While monitoring swimmers an ensuring that everyone was safe, I also had jobs such as taking out the trash, checking on pool chemicals, and communicating with pool guests.
