Current• Working collaboratively with an interprofessional health care team to support individuals living with substance use disorders schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder to gain function skills and increase life satisfaction • Supporting individuals in finding resources within their community • Supporting individuals in setting recovery goals and developing interventions that reflect clients’ interests, needs, and abilities • Using standardized assessment tools and observational assessments to understand clients’ baseline behaviours and gauge progress• Creating professional documentation notes for all client interactions • Counselling individuals through smoking cessation using the Mental Health and Addictions-Services Public Health Program (MAPP) manual; Editing and Revising MAPP manual • Working wit local pharmacy’s to support clients in receive Nicotine Replacement Therapy• Implementing group programs and one-to-one interventions• Writing grant proposals for program funding • Completed online education around suicide prevention, harm reduction, substance use, concurrent issues, motivational interviewing, and peer-support
