Dory Osilla-Lim obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from PWU (Philippine Women’s University) in Manila, Philippines. She came to the United States as an Exchange Student Nurse at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She pursued Graduate Studies in Science and obtained a Doctor of Medicine in 1985. Dory is currently a board member of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon (PACCO) serving as the Executive Vice President. She is a member of the National Federation of Philippine Chambers of Commerce and acts as an Ambassador for Peace for the Universal Peace Foundation. Her past professional affiliations include, President of the Filipino-American Association of Portland and Vicinity Inc. (FAAPVI), Vice President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Oregon and Washington (PNAOW), and President of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS). In 2010, Dory was the recipient of Lapu-lapu Award given by CSO for excellent leadership, valuable and worthy contribution and genuine concern leading to the full recognition and continuous growth of the Filipino American society in all Asian affairs in Oregon and Southwest Washington. In 2021, she was the recipient of Western Region PNAA (Phil Nurses Association of America) Pride Award for Exemplary Contribution. Her Business Experiences include President of Wellcare Adult Homes LLC, Secretary/Treasurer of First United Engineering Consulting Engineers Inc., Vice President of JDL Properties and Investments LLC, Former Vice President of Santa Barbara Investments LLC, Former Franchisee of Brownies Fast Food in Sorsogon, Philippines, company based in Canada, Former Vice President of US Building Systems Inc. Dory is currently an entrepreneur and spends her time on many projects. She found her true passion and happiness in being a businesswoman.
