Located 90 minutes from New York City in Andover Township, New Jersey, the 10 room Ampersand Inn is nestled within Kittatinny Valley State Park, which features 75 miles of biking/hiking trails, camping, kayaking, and fishing. We are 20 minutes from skiing at Vernon Valley Great Gorge, 10 minutes from the Newton Theatre (great musical acts!), and 15 minutes from various art galleries, historical sites, and highly acclaimed restaurants.The Ampersand continuously strives to “do well and do good.” We:· Give each guest a charity gift card (loaded with Inn dollars) to donate to the charity of a guest's choice through www.tisbest.org; we have donated $22,000 since opening in April 2022;· Donate free nights at the Inn to local fundraisers; we have donated 45 free nights to date;· Offer free meeting space to community groups that do not have “brick & mortar” office space;· Showcase artists’ work (for purchase) on our walls and shelves;· Provide not-for-profit orgs with free nights to award to outstanding employees;· Name Inn rooms annually to honor those who impact us positively by the way they live & lead;My 43 year career at NYU (NYU Law, 38 years and NYU Tandon, 5 years) was all about connecting students and alumni with opportunities – through recruiting, networking, and self-exploration. 38.5 years at NYU School of Law -- it was an incredible ride! Most of my experience was with the Office of Career Services at different levels of seniority and several substantive areas including counseling many complex cases, liaising with legal employers and professional associations, developing training curricula, managing a team of 15 highly professional colleagues. For 14 months at NYU Law, I oversaw Residence Life (facilities management, security, conflict resolution, supervision of a large staff) and Special Events (student meal plan; management of event space; staff supervision).

Coordinated cooperative education program, including development of co-op sites, teaching career education course, evaluating students at their various corporation and government work sites (GE, General Foods, NASA, Hughes Aircraft, KODAK, etc.). Also assisted with career development of students not involved in the cooperative education program.
