Capsid Consulting's mission is to enhance the Infection Prevention (IP) and Antibiotic Stewardship Programs (ASP) in long term care facilities around the United States via teleconsulting services. We have a proven track record of improving patient outcomes by reducing unnecessary antibiotic use thereby decreasing antibiotic associated adverse events such as C. difficile. We have helped mitigate outbreaks through infection control measures and liaising with local health departments. Our facilities have a history of strong performance during surveys. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic we have also worked with universities, private schools, businesses and other organizations to help guide them through the ever changing and often state specific guidelines/mandates. We have helped implement vaccine and testing protocols for our clients as well as providing comprehensive Q&A sessions for staff, students, parents, and employees.Our physician experts are board certified in Infectious Diseases, members of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), and our Infection Control nurses are CIC certified in infection prevention and control. Combined, our experts have over 50 years of experience in Infectious Disease and Infection Control including work in the World Health Organization (WHO).

A full-service, community and regional teaching hospital, Milford Regional Medical Center is a 149-bed, nonprofit, acute-care facility serving a region of 20-plus towns.Milford Regional Infectious Disease consults on hospitalized patients with a variety of infectious disease complications (sepsis, Covid-19, pneumonia, septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, bacteremia among others). Patients are also seen in the outpatient clinic with an emphasis on HIV and hepatitis care.

Completed a Viral Hepatitis fellowship under the mentorship of world renowned hepatologist Dr. Douglas Dieterich. Presented at numerous conferences throughout the country including AASLD and CROI. Participated in multiple publications regarding hepatitis B and hepatitis C therapies. Worked with the Empire Liver Foundation (ELF) to provide hepatitis C education to community centers, healthcare providers and local hospitals.
