I am an enthusiastic software developer with a deep interest in databases and APIs. Developing applications or systems that are associated with Star Wars is not just a job for me, it's a passion. I have a high school diploma in Information technologies from the Secondary technical school in Liberec.I am a person with careful and systematic attention to details. Thanks to my perfectionism, I strive to achieve the maximum perfection in my work. In programming, this approach means that I work hard to ensure that my code is clean, efficient, and error-free. I have the ability to spot even the smallest details and errors in code and correct them efficiently. This meticulousness and high focus on code also allows me to more easily identify patterns in programming and implement those through OOP principles and certain design patterns.In INISOFT I developed a signature tablet in the form of an Arduino UNO board with a touchscreen and a GUI application to control the tablet during my professional internship in the 3rd year of secondary school. The device was a prototype designed for landfills. The internship lasted 1 month.At CLIQUO, I worked on web-development and wrote manuals during my professional internship in the 4th year of secondary school. At the same time, I was doing research activities related to MySQL and other technologies. Also I worked with PHP and MySQL including REST API development. Also I have been developing a corporate graduation thesis on the topic of SMS gateway, working with REST API and database. The internship lasted 8 months.In INISOFT, during my part-time job in 2023, I focused on optimizing the power consumption of the LilyGO TTGO with E-ink display and ESP32 microprocessor. The device displayed the meetings for the current time in a selected meeting room inside the company. The part-time job lasted 1 month.Star Wars has been my long term special interest since I was 8 years old. I've been interested in books, TV shows, movies, LEGO etc. For example, I created a PC 3D action game with focus on lightsaber combat using Unity technology. Aug 2023 - Sep 2023Liberec, Liberec Region, CzechiaThis was a professional part-time job.The subject of the work was a LilyGO TTGO T5 board containing E-ink display and working with ESP32 microprocessor. Its purpose was to graphically display meetings according to the current time (previous, current and next meeting) for a given meeting room within the company. Using the buttons on the device, it was possible to switch to another meeting room. The device worked by connecting to Wi-Fi, making an HTTP request to the server to retrieve the data in a JSON file and displaying the data.The goal was to reduce energy consumption as much as possible. In its original state, the device lasted only 1 week with the battery. The optimizations could have been done only by modifying the provided source code written in Arduino or by changing the hardware configuration.I had to first analyze the hardware and the source code itself, then I had to build a fake local server at home on my PC (I used ASP.NET in combination with the Conveyor extension by Keyoti) to simulate the operation of the device. At the same time, I did some research on the libraries used in the source code. Finally, I created a solution design document that included modifications to the source code and hardware reconfiguration. Then I just implemented the changes.I did the actual work completely independently, that is, completely all by myself. The source codes on my GitHub (see the link to my work portfolio in the contact details of my LinkedIn profile) are not available in relation to this part-time job, because it is closed-source, i.e. company property.Pavel Šír was my direct superior. Web DeveloperCliquo Ltd. Sep 2021 - Apr 2022Liberec, Liberec Region, CzechiaThis was a professional internship within the 4th year of the Secondary technical school, which was optional. At the same time, I have been working on a corporate graduation thesis within this internship. I usually did programming in the web-development field. This included activities such as software testing, writing manuals, and research activities.The writing of manuals was mainly for the 4Trans information system. Swagger documentation for the REST API was also written, which was part of the corporate graduation thesis.The reseach activities included various topics like MySQL string functions, MySQL server, indexing, transactions, JOIN, GROUP BY and aggregate functions, MySQL in general. These topics were mostly then used in the manual for the 4Trans information system. One of the researches was OAuth technology for possible wide use in various systems operated by CLIQUO.Regarding programming, when doing the corporate graduation thesis, I worked with PHP scripts that represented the backend part and took care of the business logic. Furthermore, it was also necessary to make SQL queries to communicate with MySQL database. The PHP scripts and MySQL database were also used to work on the algorithm for issuing tax documents within the 4Trans information system. Furthermore, PHP was used to translate the e-shop into Slovak language (connecting to the translation database).More information about the corporate graduation thesis is mentioned in the education section here on my profile, specifically Secondary technical school. May 2021 - Jun 2021Liberec, Liberec Region, CzechiaThis was an professional internship within the 3rd year of the Secondary technical school, which was mandatory.I was doing a tinkerer project. It was a signature tablet (arduino UNO board + touch screen + touch pen) using Arduino. I was also developing a GUI application, created using WPF, to control the tablet.The goal was to write a signature on the display using the pen, then use the GUI buttons on the display to select an option using the pen and allow the signature to be transferred as an image from the arduino UNO board to some PC using a USB interface. Then using the GUI WPF application on the PC to have the image displayed and saved to the PC and of course control the board. The device was a prototype designed for landfills.I had to build the hardware myself, i.e. connect the arduino UNO board with the touchscreen. It was not necessary to use soldering. I also had to think before buying the hardware whether the board, display and pen had the necessary features to make it all work.I did the actual work completely independently, that is, completely all by myself. The source codes on my GitHub (see the link to my work portfolio in the contact details of my LinkedIn profile) are not available for the INISOFT internship, because it is closed-source, i.e. company property.Pavel Šír was my direct superior. The internship lasted approximately 1 month.
