I’m a clear thinker, an honest and straightforward person. I am an avid cricket fan, a good athlete and a sincere student. Football, cricket and table tennis are my favourite sports. I am not a movie-buff but I enjoy the occasional show or documentary aired on Discovery or NatGeo. Maths, physics and computer science are the subjects I like the most. I have always been fascinated by technology and how much it enables us to accomplish. Combined with a fair sense of aesthetics and particular inclination toward geometric patterns and designs, I believe web designing is an ideal career option for me; A means of turning passion into profession.Brick and mortar businesses are being forced to go online or go under as the IT revolution keeps gathering momentum. Even for traditional business set-ups, a virtual presence is essential to bolster visibility and allow a convenient touch point for clients. The demand is sufficiently met by large corporations who both advertise companies online by listing them in top slots in search results and create/maintain a free website for their clients. The problem is these websites lack personalisation. The product descriptions are general and repetitive and the overall designs have only slight variations in colour and font. The individuality of the business and the unique vision with which it was started, is undermined.Given the chance, I will definitely first try and learn what the company wants from the website, what differentiates it from competitors, what its policies are and the spectrum of products it offers. In the developing phase I will try my best to incorporate this in the theme and outlay of the website. My aim is not just to make a professional-looking website that viewers will skim through. I will do my best to capture the spirit of the business and make a standout site each time. Obviously, I am lacking in experience. But there’s a first for everything and I’m an eager learner.
