Dot co-founded 2talk together with her husband, Mike Johnstone, and business partner, Wayne Toddun, in 2020. With more than 30 years of experience designing, building, and commercializing technology solutions in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the US, Dot has been instrumental in launching Vaitel. Before relocating to the US, Dot and husband Mike co-founded Blast Technologies Australia, a VoIP telco in the Australian companies SMB and SME segments. After relocating to the US, Dot and Mike acquired a shareholding in 2talk LLC, a US telecommunication service provider. Dot was appointed as CEO and assumed control of the company’s two divisions: retail subscribers and international wholesale service with voice routes between New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the USDot’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated work ethic can be traced back to the early ‘90s when she got her start in the software technologies industry. Her first experience offering custom technology solutions to N.Z. businesses was with Keylogix, a software development company she founded. Over the years, Dot has proven to be an instrumental leader with a strong vision for building products and applications that connect businesses with customers. Highlights include the development and implementation of business solutions such as Vaitel, SIPcity CloudPBX, YourCloudTelco White Label Telco, ActiveDocs, and a host of custom business applications.
