I am a web developer always striving for a better happier life. Both hired at regular basis and freelancing as a consultant from my own IT company dotpointer.When hired I'm often titled a web developer or a front-end web developer. When working for dotpointer the tasks are mainly related to web development, but I also offer basic computer support.Going more deep into categorization front-end developer does not cover the whole story as I often like to work in many parts of the communication chain. I may write the HTML/CSS/JavaScript that render the content in the client browser, but I also write the PHP code at the web server and the My/MSSQL queries that speak to the database. Sometimes I write a system backend bash/PHP script.My widest knowledge lies in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery/jQuery-UI. In the database world I'm familiar with MySQL/MSSQL.I also have other IT skills, like system management in Linux/Windows, simpler hardware installations, software installation and troubleshooting in support related tasks. I can also teach my skills to trainees if you need more than one person. I have experiences more than usual in this matter as I've been working as a teacher assistant.I prefer Debian+MATE Desktop for work environment - it is trickier to use but you learn more in less time. For server environment I will choose Debian, nginx, MySQL and PHP-FPM. Why not run it in a virtual box, or just for fun on a Raspberry Pi?In short:I can help you to reinstall Windows if you cannot distinguish a DVD from a CD. But I can also transfer MySQL database data through PHP-cURL using JSON to a REST service with POST submits. Or develop a website where you may blog about your cat.Sounds interesting?
