The research that the Kalin lab is engaged in allowed me to investigate the role of white matter abnormalities using translational models, multimodal imaging (MRI, DTI), detailed phenotyping and genotyping, data visualization, hardware development, cross-university collaborations, and data oral presentations at international conferences. Through my work, I was able to make important contributions to the field, resulting in 33 peer-reviewed manuscripts with 2377 citations. Overall, my experience in the Kalin lab demonstrates my deep expertise in neuroscience, my strong research skills, and my ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve important scientific discoveries.

While working in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Alexander at the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior, I played a critical role in conducting cutting-edge research in the field of neuroscience. In particular, I specialized in the processing of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), creation of a key data analysis pipeline, running deterministic tractography, white matter pathway delineation, multi-modal image registration, segmentation, and image distortion correction. Through my work, I was able to help the lab to make important discoveries about the structure and function of the human brain, and to advance our understanding of key neurological processes in the field of anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and Parkinson's disease.
