I have 20 plus years in health care with the last 9 years being in the Cardiac ICU as floor nurse, preceptor and charge nurse. I filled the position of Unit council co-chair and was also chair for the Acute Quality Care Practice Group. During my time in these positions I wrote agenda's and ran meetings including follow up of any concerns, plans or ideas for the groups. These groups were supplemented with smaller break away groups such as Acute Quality Care, progressive mobility. I was nominated two years in a row by my peers for the Nursing Practice Shared Excellence Award. Our organization rolled out two different electronic health management systems during my tenure and I was a super user for both systems, McKesson and EPIC.
